A youth was chased and hacked late in the night, causing serious
injuries. The two youths who did this were arrested four hours
later.
The incident happened at the void deck of Block 1A, Eunos
Crescent at 10:35pm on Friday night, May 27, 2011.
After 22-year-old Ridwan was injured, he ran to the pedestrian
crossing and wanted to cross the road. A female pedestrian
found him with his right hand bleeding profusely.
She immediately brought him to the convenience store nearby to
get some bandages and gauze from the female store owner.
The store owner said: ‘I was shocked when I saw him all covered
with blood. But my shop does not have any bandages so I
quickly asked the lady who helped him to report to the police and
call for an ambulance.’
