wah na bei...how much is everybody's package? Mine is $400.
Dad's one is $400 and $400 to CPF. When PM first announced the
budget, he said we would get up to $800. Now I realise my one is
$400, it reminds me of those tacky sales promotion.
Think: "Up to 80% off" and then you walk in to find that most
things are 10% off with one item that's 80% off. Technically,
they're not wrong. Morally, questionable.
"up to" means the possible maximum but it is not applicable to
everyone/everything.
Learn to read between the lines.
Unless the PM said "everyone will get $800 each", then that's a
different story.
