Standard Chartered make my blood boil

That is the worst bank in spore.

I have rec many calls from companies that sell their products.

I called one company : One Solution Group

And was told that there is 9 companies with standard chartered.

Thus that one solution group already put my phone on dnc. But not the rest.

I tried to ask where he get my phone, he told me from their mkt dept.

I asked can I hv mkt dept number, he dont know.

I asked where is mkt dept get my number from, he dont know.

I called standard chartered bank and is terrible as it is very difficult to get thru.

What should I do now?

Plse help.

I have also called anz bank calling to terminate my phone number.

Getting annoying as I rec almost everyday.

I managed to call Ms Susan fm Contact center and she is helpful to send my name, ic, phone to backend dept to request this to stop.

Hope I will not rec any more call.

I do hope that the standard charter case will be over. If not, the next company come and I rec their call again.

ANZ is another case, sending out personnal particulars to the 3rd party to promote their products.

That bring me to asking: Is it right to reveal customers pareticulars to 3rd party?

It is called Cross Selling. It is legal but can be unethical. Whenever u apply for credit card, discount cards, memberships and bank accounts make sure u take notice of the application form where there is a clause tat allow the bank or company to inform ur personal particulars to any of their inter-company for the purpose of cross selling. If u dun want make sure u tick - on the box tat u dun want yer personal particulars revealed to 3rd party.

Oh dear, I did not read that....sh(*&T!!!!

Now I get all those stupid pinoy and local pple calling me almost everyday.

I am sick and plse tell me what other options?

Went down to the bank and demand to talk to their head of operation?

What to do?

About the tick not to reveal, those credit card marketer should , by right, let the customers know whether they agreed or not.

I am getting more from Standard charter and ANZ!

i think there is something being pushed through now which ensures privacy as in companies which know your particulars cannot sell them to other companies..

they get your number and stuff like that through things like contest entries, surveys and your applications for services...

I am very curious why especially when I was told yesterday by Standard Charter that I have no saving account, no fd, no credit card, yet my particulars are with them. How can that be?

Yes, I am very wary on those contest entries, need yr particulars so on...nowadays I usually write just dump any number.

Very angry with their dirty tactics.
