A PRISON officer accused of murdering a woman at Taman Jurong in
February was charged with stealing $14,500 from her.
Lim Wee Thong, 45, is said to have used Ms Loh Nyuk Moi's OCBC
ATM card to withdraw money 15 times from her bank account between
Feb 13 and 17, 2011.
Except for the first amount of $500 on Feb 13, the other
withdrawals were for $1,000 each.
The alleged offences took place at Taman Jurong Shopping Centre,
Tampines Central, Tampines Street 21 and at Bedok Road.
Lim, who was arrested at Causeway Point Shopping Centre on Feb
17, has been accused of murdering the 50-year-old clerk at her
former three-room HDB flat at Block 5 Yung Ping Road between Feb 13
and 16.
He has been remanded for psychiatric assessment, and will return
to court on March 25.
