in holding off price increases to help consumers cope with
inflation ('NTUC Foodfare will not raise drink prices'; last
Saturday), one can only wish there were NTUC petrol stations, given
the frequent pump price increases by oil companies. In fact, it may
be far more effective if petrol prices are reduced as petrol is a
major cost component for motorists and businesses.'
