Hi all,
There is this old man in a difficult situation.
1. He is single and unmarried and has no relatives.
2. He is 79.
3. He is hospitalised now with serious medical conditions,
survives on liquid food fed to him through tubes and can't
take care of himself.
4. He has been living alone all the while in a rented 1 room
flat.
5. Doctor plans to discharge him soon.
My questions are;
1. How will they discharge him from the hospital?
2. Where will they send him to?
3. Does he have to pay the hospital bills?
4. Who will take care of him upon discharge?
There are so many such examples in this current society.
Will anything be done to help them? Who helps them? Even if they
have relatives, they might shun them knowing that they might have
to take care of them.
