POLICE arrested a man on Tuesday allegedly responsible for at
least four cases of indecent exposure in the Sembawang estate.
In December 2010, the 20-year-old suspect prowled around void
decks in the Sembawang estate, exposing himself and committing
obscene acts in front of female victims, aged between 15 and
23.
Using a description provided by the victims, police spotted the
suspect, riding past a block of flats on Tuesday at about 5.30
pm.
As the police approached him, the suspect tried to flee, but was
subdued and placed under arrest.
The suspect will be charged in court on Thursday for an offence
of committing an obscene act in a public place which carries a
maximum of three months of jail time or with a fine or both.
