TWO years ago, the decomposed body of 47-year-old real estate
agent Choo Xue Ying was found in some bushes at Bukit Batok Nature
Park.
The investigation trail led to mechanic Rosli Yassin, 50, who
was charged a month later with murdering her.
The killing was said to have taken place on Oct 16, 2008, four
days before her body was discovered.
Yesterday, after a preliminary inquiry, Rosli was committed to
go on trial in the High Court on the murder charge.
If convicted, he faces the mandatory death penalty.
A two-week trial has been scheduled to run from Oct 25.
