One very basic sign that we aren't rich.....Did u notice SG exchange rate at all time high against green back. But it does not reflect cheaper price at your weekly grocery.

greenback weakened, but your food prices is still dependent on weather, supply and demand. Seriously speaking, you're lucky prices of sugar did not go up tat big because we're still able to source from non Asian sugar refineries for eg.

Furthermore, no one will spend e cost to do weekly price adjustment. It's usually monthly or quarterly.

actually the figure is true in mine opnion

i came across these figures in the saturday straitstime news paper home section yesterday

its tittled singapore ranked 4 in personal wealth under the money section

singapore average wealth , the mean is around 255 000 usd

BUT!! the median is $30 000 usd ONLY so the person that is ranked in the 50th percentile of personal wealth is 9 TIMES poorer then the average

this is horrible ..seriously ,you are in the middle and yet you are 9times poorer than the average a grim reminder to our current state

so the top 1% control how much of personal wealth actually?? .... no one knows......
