Is this a true story?

If yes, how did he manage to kill the tiger just by his bare hands? On tv shows, it shows that he jump on top of the tiger so that the tiger could not bite him and than he beat the tiger with his fists until it die.

Is that true?

Are there other real life incidents of people killing a tiger/lion by his bare hands?
