AN NSman with the Singapore Police Force has been called up for
questioning by his reservist unit over comments he made on his blog
on the handcuffing of a photojournalist in July.
Temasek Review, an online blog site, said Mr Abdillah Zamzuri,
26, disagreed with how the police handled the cuffing of Lianhe
Wanbao photojournalist Shafie Goh, which took place during a flash
flood on July 16. He also said that the officer 'acted stupidly'
and that they should be sued.
Mr Abdillah received a call from an investigating officer from
his reservist unit a week after his July 19 blog to have his
statement taken.
The charge, according to Mr Abdillah, is for 'prejudice to the
conduct of good order or discipline', said Temasek Review. .
When contacted on Friday morning, a police spokesman told
straitstimes.com: 'It is inappropriate for us to comment as the
case is currently under investigation.'
Mr Abdillah is the second person to be questioned by the police
over online comments recently.
On Tuesday, 27-year-old Abdul Malik Mohammed Ghazali was
arrested over comments on social networking site Facebook that
'incited violence', according to the police.
