MEMBER of Parliament Muhammad Faishal Ibrahim recalls a recent
party for new citizens and permanent residents from India in his
Kaki Bukit ward, organised by the local grassroots group Indian
Activity Executive Committee.
Attendance was outstanding, with over 100 present: 'They brought
their entire families...three or four generations in the room.'
There were chairs and tables, but the guests chose to sit on the
floor to eat.
