While I agree that there are many other better methods to
discard old confidential paper materials, I always find it ironic
that people expect teachers to be perfect people and never make
mistakes (ever).
Teachers must all recycle, wash hands before they eat, be polite
all the time, know everything shade of grey between black and white
issues, have high moral and ethical ground, speak good English or
Mandarin or whatever, good physique (else if you fat, how you teach
kids nutrition!?) and be a walking, talking, instant response
encyclopedia.
Add in the expectation of being constantly attentive in a class
of 30 plus active kids - a teacher also need to be omniscient and
omnipresent.
