No, your eyes aren't playing tricks on you. That really is a robot
delivering a plate of food in a restaurant (looks to us
like squid in black bean sauce) as a family looks on.
The picture was taken at the Robot Restaurant in Harbin,
Heilongjiang province, China.
Opened in June 2012, the restaurant has gained fame in using a
total of 20 robots, which range in heights of 1.3 to 1.6
metres, to cook meals and deliver dishes.

A robot that specialises in cooking, prepares 'jiaozi', or Chinese
dumplings.

This robot is the Tom Cruise of the operation - delivering drinks
and serving up cocktails at the restaurant.

A pedestrian looks at a robot that specialises in greeting people
perform his duties in the snow. The robot union doesn't seem to
mind harsh working conditions

The robots can work continuously for five hours after a two-hour
charge, and are able to display over 10 expressions on their faces
as well as saying basic welcoming sentences to customers
