I do not understand why such a scene would be so shocking. Here
in Singapore, we can find our Chinese students acting out scenes
from Shakespeare. Yet no one would even bat an eyelid, let alone
gain the attention of the press. What makes him so special?
Good for him that he is learning a different language and
culture. But that's about it.
That said, he does make a pretty decent 包公，with his dark skin.

its shocking coz not many non chinese speaks chinese let alone
sing an opera. the same cant be said of english.
