With its haunting beady eyes, twisted snout and crooked teeth
the shrub has been dubbed the scariest in the country.
The un-fir-gettable 70ft beech was spotted by David Garnham in
the grounds of Stowlangtoft Hall in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk.
Mr Garnham, a maintenance technician, said: "It really does show
nature's true beauty and also says a lot about what the imagination
can conjure up.
"It's a bit like the enchanted forest - where it moves towards
you but stops when you look at it. I can't imagine too many
children wanting to go climbing up that tree.
"I've called the photo 'Nature's Scream' because I think it does
have an uncanny resemblance to Edvard Munch's classic work."
We don't know if we wood go anywhere near it.
