Surely you never been to one and/or work there
before..... 
. It is a
total dis-respect to connect betting with William Hills
punters (like you) to the order fillers, floor traders or even
market analysts.
I am not going to touch into it as It may take a few pages to
fully emphasize my point but you just don't compare punting guys
with the professionals in the trading pits or doing technical or
fundamental analysing.

What I mean is, football betting can be more complex than those
bookie type.
And you are right, a punter is a punter, but me not, only big
match, like Man u vs Liverpool, or Brazil vs England type, than I
will bet through.
