We propose that government subsidies be removed from
smoking-derived illnesses.
Smokers will not be able to receive subsidies from the
governement if they were to suffer from, for example, respiratory
or heart diseases that are caused by smoking.
The reasons are:
1. smokers may be encouraged to quit at the earlier stage
2. non-smokers are discouraged to start smoking.
