Haiz,my friend is hesitating because he is obviously afraid of risking the loss of his gf (with whom he has already been for some time) if he decides to plunge into the unkown of a girl whom he only knows for a few months.

It’s like having $1000 in hand and a chance lies ahead : Place the $1000 as bet for

x5 = $5000 (if success with the new girl)

x0 = $0 (if failure with the new girl).

So the question is whether he should just hang on to the $1000 and not take the chance.

Obviously, $1000 in hand is just ok but not really good. However the probabilities of success and failure with the new girl are a big unknown now since it’s only a few months

she came from penang to work in sg

Better to stick to the gf than the shop girl.

1. If your friend choose the shop gal, he'll hurt his current gf if she finds out. There probably won't be a chance for your friend to continue with her if it doesn't work out with the shop girl.

2. When the shop girl finds out that he left his gf for her, then you'll know what'll happen. Maybe not that bad, but it'll spoil the relation between him and her.

Well firstly your friend has gotta ask himself whether he loves his gf, if he doesnt love his gf. Then just dump her. Whats the point of loving both when you even can't? If he doesn't make up his mind, he will lose both.

He's risking his relationship to be with a girl he barely knows. So why dont start off as general friends and see whether you get along well. You can simply test a girl, ask your questions and see how she responds. That's how I always prepare myself for the worst.
