oh i see! thanks!
yes, my aunt has the same syndrome as her, in that when she was
young and got super-high fever, my grandma never treated her in
time and she's like the girl in the show, but she can walk, talk,
although her actions is something like 8 year old kid, and
sometimes, she's smart but most of the time, quite
lunatic.....really sad.
also, i believe Spinocerebellar ataxia
(SCA) can happen any one of us? like if we get 37
degree fever and never see doctor and let it rise to 42+ degree, we
will be like her?
scary, man.....i think it's also her parents' fault that
she end up like this......
anyway, this show is not only to get $$$ for the family, but to
serve as a reminder to us all spoilt brat singaporeans that there's
a lot of unfortunate families out there while people nowadays still
can lust for iPod and MP3s.....
it kinds of serves as a wake-up call for us.
If it is a genetic disease, then it is unlikely to be due to the
fevers. A prolonged fever can definitely result in brain
damage/organ damage but the result will have nothing to do with
SCA.
