hey guys... i found this freeware game on the net and i really enjoy playing it. by any chance do any of you play it?

don't worry i'm not promoting is cause its free anyway, just that its really fun to play

for a free game its really good, only problem is its a lot easier to play with a controller with variable input, like a mouse or joystick even. thing is with a keyboard theres only a button so for instance with throttle or steering its all either full turn/full acceleration or none.

the cars which you download are really detailed and the fact that all aspects of the game are variable, it makes it more fun - i think - than a lot of other racing game which you have to pay for. i also love the fact you have to look on the net for models to download and put in the game, and there is a wide selection. even better its got a multiplayer online mode, and its own track + car builder. anyway just trying to let you all know cause its really good fun

yeah downloaded this game years ago, you really need a steering wheel input device to enjoy… it’s pretty realistic

yeah i agree... i was wondering why the steering was so horrible at first but i realized it was cause it wasn't recommended for keyboards. i just remembered that i have a controller at home but haven't tried yet, if things work out like i hope, the game should be a lot more fun. as for the tracks and cars, simply awesome for freeware!

It's more like a simulation rather than a game.
I played it years ago too, not playing anymore. To get the full simulation experience, really have to buy a steering/pedal set, but i am not that hardcore.......

u may try LFS(Live For speed) too. The "standard" version is free, but with limited cars/tracks, the "full" version need to buy, or download some kind of cracked version.

the verdict:

there is no sky... it looks horrible from the trees up. the track is no where near as good as other games, but then again nothing really can be expected. overall it is well made considering how massive the nurburgring is but a bit of a disappointment Sad

haha i see where you're coming from... lucky enough i found an old controller sitting around that worked... its a lot more fun. as for keyboard i noticed the GT3 is actually quite easy to handle. have u deleted it yet? i haven't tried the multiplayer function yet. wanna try? haha IF you'd like to, pm me with your server name
