nashvision SG there is 2 type of cube rite?? 1 is normal rubik cube another is speed rubik cube? where can get speed rubik cube?
Maith SG i think those 3×3 ones are 9.90 only..got sold in any toy r’ us..i bought one from vivo…i try awhile then fed up liao…now its missing..
sand king SG im addicted to it now, can solve 1st 2 layers, the 9 o clock part then the fish part i can solve, after that need formula hehe! best timing 10 min++ this is my 2nd day doing only so... ill try improve the timing.
knockonmydoor SG rubik's cube nt for me. no patience de. i just cannot understand why so many people are obsessed over the cube like until they got into trouble with teachers.
Xephone_xenon SG For those that are interested in learning the rubik's cube. Please go to www.sgcubers.com/forum We have a mini community there now. And we have a handful of guys that can solve it in under 30seconds consistently. Some can even under 20 seconds consistently. So yeah. Oh btw, we are also having weekly meetings at vivo city for cubers and interested cubing parties. For more info just go into the forum, register and ask lo.
Xephone_xenon SG Its called DIY cube. Where you can adjust the overall tension of the cube to your liking to cube it faster. You cant find it in sg. Must pre order online. If you want you can go to www.sgcubers.com/forum to know more. Some might even be able to pre order for you. Its $16 inclusive of the shipping cost. Oh btw. New vid of me solving it in 25seconds. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b0776ZVQfGg
Xephone_xenon SG Wrong. Its possible to do so actually. He is the world champion btw. His average timing was somewhere around 12seconds during finals. And current world record is 9seconds. I believe with luck in f2l and last layer algorithms its totally possible. Using Fridrich method. If you are lucky you can do cross in 5moves. Which can be like 1second if you are fast. As for f2l, on average you complete it in 28moves. If you are lucky, you can do so in 20. So 3seconds for that. And if you are really good in your OLL and PLL. You can complete it in 3seconds. But at the same time, in order to do that, you must make full use of inspection time and at least be good enough to look foward until you solve your f2l. Then OLL and PLL is all about memorising and looking fast enough. But at the same time, its probably got to try 30times in order for that to happen. 1+3+3 = 7seconds. I wont be surprised if in year 2010 people start solving the cube in 8~9 seconds as average.
ms.anonymous SG must remember all the algorithms by heart right? and how do you know which algorithm to do? is it depending on the colour position of the cubes..? or smth like that
Xephone_xenon SG Yeah. For the cfop method. There are 57oll and 23pll. But that only applies to the last layer. The cross and the first two layers is actually the more crucial part on solving the cube. And You must do it through logic and pure instinct. So it aint that easy. One must practice alot in order to solve it in sub20.
sahfahri SG Hi all, I hear all you guys are great speedcubers. I'm not that good though only 3:58 my best timing. I am currently setting up some event to showcase speedcubers. $30 per day anyone interested? Please email me at or call me @ 98415142.
798 SG start playing 3x3 cube recently after watching youtube video.the algorithm helps. but alot of memories work to do.
Short Ninja SG The fastest person does it in seconds blindfolded.I open my eyes big big also take 3 weeks.
