If you use the right glue, I guess it should last.
Just to share with you my experience while driving along the NS
highway during Dec 06:
There was this old Proton driving along the left lane travelling at
around 110kmh. I hv just overtaken a truck and went into the space
between the truck and the Proton. Without warning, something flew
out of from the Proton in front onto the right most lane. Luckily,
I had shifted in right behind him and was not hit.
When I glanced at my rear-view mirror, I realised that this guy had
lost 1 of his window visors. This was probably a DIY job using glue
that is quite weak or worn out.
Lesson learnt: do use the right glue and clean the area properly
first else your visor is going to be a missile to somebody's
car.
