Fines?

Hi, Parked my car at clark quay single zig zag line yesterday then tio this police report. Never state must pay how much. just state that a letter will be mailed to the registered owner of the car. Any idea what’s the fine like?

Hmm, fight the fine back.

Tell them your car break down. And u do not have a hp with you! So you rushed to find a tel booth. And when u got back... u were fined. Mr. Green

you should be receiving a letter from Mr TP who will ask for the particulars of the driver who parked the car there.. at least u have a chance to get a scapegoat to take the penalty for you if your driving licence is very important..

If I am not wrong, it is S$120 and 3 points, or S$130 and 4 points, either one of them. The letter will be sent to the registered owner of the vehicle in about 2-3 weeks time.

offence 1: nv put breakdown triangle 200m away from the back of vehicle + hazard light.

offence 2: not keeping the vehicle in a roadworthy condition

subsequent reply from TP: pls provide the tow truck service receipt / repair receipt

if minor breakdown - no repair or tow - then offence 3: leaving the vehicle to obstruct traffic when it could have been pushed to safer location before leaving vehicle unattended (as telephone is not life and death)

and what if his zig zag line is like those outside a hawker centre.. then he park is parallel park with a whole line of other cars in front and behind him.. then how to argue breakdown when its parked nicely? haha.

Hmm dunno if my case is applicable to this topic.

I parked my car at a multi storey cp washing bay before... i was in a hurry get to bed. heheh.. then next morning.. WHAM.. a ticket.

so i fight the summon... telling them my car broke down.. and dun expect me to push it to a parking space.. so i leave it there lor.. and they agreed to void the summon.. haha

if they ask for receipt or wad.. just say.. u jump start lor.. Laughing

For your case , i doubt anyone will be washing their car in middle of nite, assuming u parked there quite late in the nite, hence if no one complained , then it’s ok.. well, if u are also a season ticket holder of the MSCP, you could be forgiven for once as you could argue that the entire MSCP got no empty lot when u came back that time.. but i doubt u could pull this stunt twice.. they won’t waive you again for same offence the next time round.
