WASHINGTON (AFP) - - Republican vice presidential
hopeful Sarah Palin revealed Monday her 17-year-old unmarried
daughter Bristol is pregnant, and plans to have the baby and marry
its father.
"We're proud of Bristol's decision to have her baby and even
prouder to become grandparents," Sarah Palin and her husband Todd
said in a joint statement, confirming news reports of Bristol's
pregnancy.
"Bristol and the young man she will marry are going to realize
very quickly the difficulties of raising a child, which is why they
will have the love and support of our entire family," the statement
said, pleading for media privacy.
