The show "Missing" got a lot of such cases. Like the girl who
disappeared in 2002 on her way to visit her grandma. When her
families put announcment on the papers and tvs to beg her to come
back when her grandma passed away already, her mum received a call
from her saying that she missed her grandma. But when her mum asked
her where she is, she kup the phone and was never heard from
again.
Another one is the most recent case last year. This girl by the
name of Felicia aka Gaia out of sudden disappeared one night after
leaving her friend's house. She happened to be the good friend of
my BMT mate. And we were talking abt it in the bunk.
These are just the more popular case because the victims are
young I guess. If you look around at places like Tiong Bahru mrt
station, you will see notices of so-and-so missing for how many
days blah blah.
Sometimes I really wonder where they are. And if they really end
up at some other countries and faced a horrible fate.
Anyway, regarding the smuggled-to-thailand theory, one local
expert disputed it because on the streets of Thailand, there are
already so many beggers around that tourists no longer give money
to them, so its pretty pointless to kidnap and multilate kids to be
used as beggers, although its still possible that kidnappers wanna
try their luck in the 90s.
Got this image from a girl's blog. I dont know how to link the
damn thing. Sorry.
