One thing about Rex accident is driver control, it's a 4WD which handle different to a FD. Driver need to know how to handle it at high speed, as in the Initial D, even good driver need time to figure out how it behave.
Just cannot push to the limit for the first time and expect it to go according to you control. Maybe Subaru should train all his buyer b4 they collect the car.

Subaru doesn't strike me as a light economy car. So the key point (at least for me) is that even with all the safety mechanisms and many airbags, when the car is out of control and hits something hard, it's over.

I'm curious as to how the accident happened...

Which accident you refering to? Who push it to the limit for the 1st time? What talking you?

Initial D? It is just a load of rubbish teen movie.

4WD is so much easier to drive (if 50:50 Torque split). I think you know nuts about car.

Do you know why cars are made FWD? It is because RWD is the most difficult to control/predict for most average driver.

Whenever a REX crash, it seems so many people will say this and say that.

Accident can happen to any car and anyone.

If you r an expert in AWD ,please give yr view and tell us why this can happen. One day, I may buy a Rex myself and it is good to listen to a experience driver on how to handle this powerful machine. Another point is, we are not pro racer here, I heard from friends with experience tell me what it's like to drive a dry clutch Tced car. Ofcourse it is a different car compare to a saden, I guess you r driving one and heard that someone from BMW forum know the victim. Know you feel very sad for that guy and later on I read on the paper and he is a good father of 2. Wat the point here is to all rex wanna be pls give your knowhow on the car as they can benefit us and avoid such accident.

Firstly my condolences to the driver and his family....

okie... now to enter the discussion.... i am not an AWD expert... but most probably this wld have been caused by the car understeering to disaster... as those in the know will tell u that AWD cars have a tendency to understeer....
