For the same make and model, the manual ones definately goes
faster. You can make the car reach a certain speed faster by
revving hard before you change to the next gear.
For auto, the gear box decide when it wants to change gear to reach
a higher speed. So sometimes, you may have stepped hard on the
accelerator, but the engine does not respond as fast as you
want.
For Manual
Pros - Can reach a certain speed faster
- Consumes lesser petrol
- Can push start (usually in 3rd gear) when battery is flat
- Cheaper maintennace because you dun need transmission fluid
(needed
for automatic transmission
- Dun have to worry about transmission problems (esp with
electronic
parts)
Cons - YOu left leg must be in good condition (no injuries) in
clutch in
- YOu left hand have to change gear
- Tiring at traffic jams (very common in Spore!)
- YOu must control biting piint when at slopes (esp in
carparks)
For Auto
Pros - Comfort (No.1 reason for automatic cars)
- Your left leg can rest (You bai kah left leg aso can
drive!)
- No worries about roll back
- Ladies love automatic transmission
- Its better for resale
Cons - Consumes a little more petrol
- You can't push start when battery flat
- One more item to change during servicing (transmission fluid)
