In the western society, it is growing phenomena. But some ppl may hit me for saying the following. If you ask the psychologist and the psychologist, they would say they're forms of mental sicknesses.

Not only gay and lesbian are growing in the western hemisphere but forms of kinky sex like teen sex, child sex, bondage - mental, sexual and lifestyle are growing phenomena in the western society.

I guess, it is as what you said - accummulation of stress, hate, anger and expectations. And dun forget the western society was formed (may not be so now) with the help of Judo-Christian values of give-and-take and care for the less fortunates. But Asian, do we have such intrinsic values?

I still prefer our govt approach - dun approve, dun disapprove of gay and lesbian......

It is a window that if we open, not only fly comes in but host of events which we've never evolved the means nor the ways to handle in the first place.

I think guys think more and therefore worry more....

but gals better at planning, neater and more systematic....

You sure? Have you seen how some ladies drive?

Anyway, I think men are more decisive then women. They see the world in a broader sense.

Women will think twice more often before doing anything compared to men. They are more meticulous and notice the smaller things better.

Gender simply means male or female identified. gay guys are still male identified, lesbians are still female identified.

EU law doesn't define gay and lesbian as genders, but as sexualities.

Really? Which forms have you filled out that says that? I am interested to know since I actually live within the EU and have never been asked to tick a box to indicate my sexuality under the "gender" section.

However, under "gender" when I once made a police report in N.I. they had 4 choices: male, female, transsexual, other.

Those choices however, do not indicate sexuality as a male, female, and transsexual can all identify as straight, bi or homosexual. I cannot speak for "others" as I do not know what exactly that encompasses.

Your information is outdated. Within the psychological society, homosexuality has long been seen as not a form of mental sickness, hence the removal of homosexuality from the DSM:IV over 10 years ago when it was published in 1994. Homosexuality is just a genetic trait, like your skin colour, your hair colour, your eye colour etc.

Some things in life are always harder to understand if you've been told something else for the majority of your life, but we should always try to keep an open mind to the fact that what we previously thought to be true might not be.
