hello guys, i had my macbook pro stolen.
is there anything i can do to trace back my laptop?
this is what happened yesterday:
[B]i was at woodlands blk 1A, i was tending a retail shop there
while using my mbp. then a malay guy call out to me while looking
at a goods, he asked me the price and said he wanted to buy for his
wife.
asked a number of questions and then he asked whether we
accept DINERS CLUB. it is ridiculous, a neighbourhood retail shop
that accept credit card?
when i turned back to return to the interior of my shop, i found my
macbook pro gone![/B]
then i ran to the alley to see anyone was running away, i found no
one.
i grew highly suspicious of the malay customer that he might have
an accomplice to help him in the part of the scam and i followed
him.
initially he went to a malay friend i presume, i was on the phone
with the police constantly updating my location and the suspect
dressing and features.
he was quite weird, when he knew i was following him. and then he
walk off and in circles.
along a few stretches of path, he asked me a couple of times "are
you following me?"
i, of course in denial of it.
then he warned me to stop following him.
but the police was very slow in arriving due to the traffic jam
near the causeway.
he took a cab later onwards, i have no choice i couldn't see any
other cab i could stop to follow that cab.
i told the police, the license plate number of the taxi.
in the end, the police told me they are searching him in causeway
point as the taxi driver informed them the suspect alighted at
there.
sighs, afterwards i didn't receive anymore updates of the
suspect.
[B]please guys, if you see anyone selling macbook pro with 2 dents
at left and right bottom of the laptop casing. do inform me.
because my mbp is possibly the only mbp with such dent.
i presume he doesn't have the laptop box and receipt or maybe
adaptor (he could buy that).[/B]
