The specifications are cool but still lose out a little to the WRX 2.5....

However, the tuned up version used for rally racing, the RS version won the recent rally championships... leaving the WRX behind covered in dirt... (the last sentence is for all you wrx lovers! wahahahahahaha Twisted Evil )

The ST sold here is stock bare to the minimum. Lots of things were left out compared to the UK ones.

At a price of $99K?

Maybe i might just consider waiting a couple years to see if they bring in a better spec-ed model.

Though the WRX is al most $10-15K cheaper its not really worht comparing the two.

if compare WRX 2.5 better , especially when it come to ZHENG! the aftermarket parts for WRX is everywhere, its just $$$$ at end of day.

well the Citroen Xara Kit Car was a FWD, had 280bhp and beat all the other WRC cars twice in a row in previous WRC events in the past Laughing

The problem with WRX is that you see it everywhere on the roads... too common already... lacks the snob appeal... Even Burger King is giving a WRX...
It's so common that owners are competing and differentiating against one another with their accessories only...

Yupz... Citroen has always been performing well in WRCs... But it's not worth mentioning because it doesnt even sell the stock car model in Singapore....

WRXs have been given away in quite a few contests... not only the Burger King one... there's this recent contest that gave away a WRX to the person who could put his hnad on it the longest remember? And a few other more in the past...

As for the Gallardo, it was not an effort to market it... It was delibrately chosen by DBS to create that feeling of awe for their prize... It was for a high class credit card anyway... you don't see fast food restaurants giving away Gallardos for eating their value meals right?

Eh bros.. If i am not wrong, all WRC cars are 4wd de.. Only the Junior de is other drivetrain.. And seriously, WRX is common in SG roads.. In the end of the day, people will definiely choose the one that is cheaper and give power, i mean for those who want it la..

there used to be the F2 group, after the Group A 4WD before the WRC standard came it. It consist of FWD kits cars with engine capacity of 2000cc, running horsepower up till 300bhp.

never know dude.....if restaurant are desperate and they got the marketing power u might see porsche being the winning prize.

but then again WRX 2.5 aint cheap either 80K + insurance and road tax etc. A killer....dun think any tom dick and harry can afford.
