Watanabei sounds like wo de na bei, Was there a Nabu in
japanese? I know Nabe means pot. anyway, i
think its our dialects, especially hokkien that makes fun of
other languages, I have customer whose name is
pronounced as korneh, i know a customer whos dialect
name is Kam Lan (meaning Stupid in hokkien). In mandarin its
pronounced as Jin Lan, I dont think japanese words
can be as absurbed as chinese ones,
escpecially dialects.
kani is crab in jap..nabe is known as tofu?? so whats kani
nabe??
