rainee SG a very small car.. but me in msia...it is a kancil... looks like this but this is an older model, mine is of a different color and looks much nicer
sir_boris SG Most continental cars got a board computer that will show the instantaneous fuel consumption. it really helps. anyone can imagine a conti 1.6 can achieve 14km/L?? 1. avoid fast driving at all... most cars are tuned to 80-90km/h. any slower or faster is not in optimum state. 2. true, but pls observe speed limit. 3. Brake when needed dont go run tat chicken down. the idea is... if u see or anticipate red light, act accordingly with minimum braking needed. 4. Who would like to be in traffic jam??
rainee SG hmm...have to go so fast ah? but wat abt in crowded area? cos now i only drive my car around my housing area, that place always got a lot of cars around de, so very hard to go anything above 30... i oso dun like to be in a traffic jam, but then i oso dun like to sit in my office until after the peak hours...tink have to find alternative route ba
Camellias4me SG U didn't like Kelisa? Auto or manual? Perodua uses daihatsu engine. Heard dat Kelisa is very fuel efficient. Shld be the same for Kancil. As above mentioned tips.. u may also refer to here for more details. Happy driving.
rainee SG I like the car, small and easy to park but the first week the petrol really went down super fast...i just went around my housing area nia, then half tank gone this week seems better, oledi used to go around for a few days le, but the tank still quite full... mine is a manual car
BiBi1313 SG u park ur car for long time dun use...petrol will evaporate...esp for 98...92 not dat bad...u drive short distance...eg. travel 2 a place...stop..den start engine...again n again....will consume more....oso depends how u drive ur car...d amt u step on ur accelerator...
rainee SG hmm ic ic... got a question...so usually after ur car started to move smoothly liao rite...i mean after u have gone into gear one and managed to get your car moving, u still need to step on the accelarator rite?
BiBi1313 SG ya...juz maintain the depression enough 2 acclerate...den change to gear 2....changing gear let go off accelerator.. In gear 1...changing to gear 2...clutch in fully n let go of accelerator gradually...happens in seconds...den engage into gear 2 n relase clutch 2 biting point (half clutch) n step on accelerator simultaneuosly...same for all gear...the higher the gear...ur car can glad more as the momentum iz there n doesn't consume dat much petrol...unless u wana speed up fast
rainee SG hmm, wat is half clutch? and if u dun wan to increase speed le (want to stay in the current gear for a long time), can just let go of the accelerator completely? still need to press or not?
BiBi1313 SG to maintain speed...juz maintain d amt of depression on the accelerator...relase...slow down..press some more...increase... half clutch means u release d clutch till u reach biting point...gear n engine engage...ermmm....u can feel movement of ur car n vibrating if u dun step on accelerator
tomsss SG this car is damn cheap over in malaysia right? super fuel economy as well... and darn easy to drive around with auto. Mum's side family living in JB has at least 3 of these
tomsss SG another way to save fuel: tape up ALL the gaps on your car except the one that leads to the airbox or intake. Reduces the co. drag by probably 0.001
freakass SG Please turn your car into a pink hello kitty car like the one below... http://allmalaysia.info/news/story.asp?file=/2005/8/12/pastimes/11630570&sec=mi_pastimes
