I got a friend his A lev result average, A for Maths, B for Physics, D for Econs, H2 subjects, but was rejected when he applied engineering course. Can anyone give some idea what is the standard ? How the Uni select by choice,I mean 1st choice, u cant get, then they give other choice..... pls comment

NUS eng and NTU eng got big difference in standards.

So far the people i noe in mech engine, they didn't go in by choice leh.

Kinda got in coz they cant get into better engine courses like Aerospace.

But den again, hang1 hang1 chu1 zhuang4 yuan2 la.

I tink more importantly when looking for the job one must be blessed by Lady Luck.

mech engin is not dumping ground lor. You need lots of machines to run this world.

aerospace is worse lor. The market you can venture out into is so narrow. Even a mech engin grad can also work in aerospace company.

Even material engin has more prospects than aerospace.

for me, i really have interest in elec engineering

mech engine got interest too.. just not that much.. and psychology in sg, ricebowl not good.. overseas then good.. but i not prepared to go overseas to do psychology.. so stick to my 2nd best haha..

but u can oso argue engine oso may nid go overseas.. haha..

is sim degree useful when u r looking for a job.

from what i observed, the degree isn't as well recognised in singapore, let alone overseas.
