Hey guys was wondering how you guys in this forum are willing to check out some local bands and musicians works etc. Are you open to listening or giving a chance to local music?. If so can i start posting local some bands whom I think are quite interesting? Cheers! Smile

Is there even a local band that exists long enough? The ones I heard of either sing NDP theme songs or sing Channel 8 drana theme songs. Some of them are like no more already, like 迷路兵 and the "Electricos" (NDP 2009).

Not only band. Our local singers are like only the old ones, like JJ Lin, Kit Chan, Stephanie Sun, etcetera. Unfortunately, there is no new blood. :(

I play in a local band and based on our community we have alot of great bands that are unknown to the public is because they can’t afford marketing so the internet and forums where Singaporeans exist is probably one of the ways we can market and promote ourselves.

Would you guys be willing to listen? If so i can start posting on a separate music thread. Cheers

There are local bands like The Sam Willows and a singer called Gentle Bones. They're really good!
