Sure, it's fun, its flashy and the tunes sometimes get
stuck in your head for days on end, but basically, it is just
fluff, lacking any artistic integrity. The process of putting it
together the equivalent of manufacturing a can of Coke with a
little added fizz.

It has been said that those so-called "major" record
labels were killing music. In fact that is still what is said. It's
true they sign bands that fit the formula of the day and create
project bands to do the same. Boy bands come and make them shit
loads of money then disappear in to oblivion. The creation of teen
idols and heart throbs flood the air waves.
all the songs are REALLY CATCHY but they dont require all that much
talent…i mean everyone in korea has to know how to dance and look
pretty (cough plastic surgery cough) and be fashionable just to
survive in Korea’s incredibly superficial society (im just calling
it like it is) so generic/repetitive/over-produced songs like Gee,
Sorry Sorry,Nobody etc. aren’t all that impressive (i still love
the songs haha im just saying…not a ton of musical value)
Underneath all that glamour and makeup,
the KPop industry is a messy scene. Huge entertainment
conglomerates pour millions of dollars into carefully manufactured
pop groups that sometimes spend years preparing for their debuts,
often including cosmetic surgery (which is growing rapidly in
popularity in Korea). Artists rarely write their own songs, which
sound like they're cut-and-pasted from American electro-house music
with an added R&B/hip-hop flair. 2NE1, Girls' Generation, Brown
Eyed Girls, T-ara, 4Minute, Wonder Girls, KARA, After School--they
all seem to blend together, don't they? Even within the groups
themselves, can you tell one girl apart from another? Don't get me
wrong; I'm not trying to bash people who listen to KPop--hell, I do
it myself sometimes. But I don't try and pretend it's good music,
because it's not...so wats ur opinions?
