I feel that its quite dumb to hold wedding dinner and cause people to spend unecessary money. unless of course people are rich, which is not.

Last time my brother wedding, it cost 10 thousands dollars which we gave to the manager. One person transient happiness cost a collective damage of 10 thousands by all the guest. No wonder so many people are stressful about money.

Anyway, most of the times these days the ang bao dun cover the cost of the dinner. This ang bao is to help the newlywed couple since they have to fork out a lot of money for their new home etc

And it's not like people you know are getting married every day or even every other day so what is there to be stressed up about money for weddings?

I think its dumb becos quite many people dun like to spend these money on wedding dinners. Some of them will complain, and some will keep quiet and complain quietly inside themselves becos no choice have to go becos they will be inviting them in the future or have asked people to go last time for their own wedding.

I dun blame restaurants at all. They are just manking money, which is alright to me. Personally, I just try to avoid going for such dinners.

In a sense, the marriage causes money of friends, relatives and colleagues to be passed into the hands of restaurants.

To tell you the truth, i believe that there is a market for low cost marriage which have not be opened fully yet. Currently, the cheaper mode for wedding are those held at community centers, which proves that some entrepreneurs are already creating this market supply for consumers.

invite your friends and relatives to your place saying you're holding a buffet. but call pizza delivery and ask them to deliver 3 hours after the stipulated wedding buffet.

From all the weddings I have gone to, I heard bad comments from the guest for 3 out of 4 wedding dinners, may it be food, programme, service, parking problem, crowd turnout etc.

My fd's wedding was a nightmare for life, as his guest fought at the dinner after drinking at the dinner.

Another fd chalked up a huge credit card bill as the wife insist on a lot of things which he could not say no.

And later in life, only the ROM cert is required for all kinds of registration. Who gives a shit about the photos you took for your wedding...

Go tour spend more lor, actually if u can know how to make profit, wedding can earn money also. Choose the lousiest menu of dishes at a grand hotel, then invite relatives and pples, if per table of $700, u can receive $800, u make $100 per table lor, so invite 60 tables, u get 6k profit,...can go korea and japan liao.

U can do it on HDB void deck, basket ball court and also playground, today wedding, tomollo funneral also can. Very Cheap, sometime town council give free electricity and space usuage.

Then tactically, u should invite the rich one, the bosses, even they dun come the ang bao also big big, and they will inform u in advance, so u can invite another person.

My Dad last time marry, earn about 12k, then divorce..then marry again, earn 14k, then divorce again. Now he dun want to marry liao, just take care me, ah ma and his mistress.
