Nowadays it seems like many people even those who are in
religion do not believe much in evil in a supernatural sense
thinking it just old wives tales from the past to act as bogeymen
to scare their children in doing good...
So is there real evil forces in our world and if it so, why is
it naive to believe in it?
hmm. i'm in religion (christianity), and i believe in evil.
i believe that there are powers and principalities which
govern nations and people.
like.. for example i believe that there's a supernatural aspect
which influences to a certain degree how humans act in the physical
world.
drastic example: hitler choosing to hate and exterminate the
jews. or spiritual possession etc.
minor example: people who are trapped in a bad habit, unable to
quit the bad habit, or unable to forgive, or always get angry and
lose control all the time.
i also believe in a physical manifestation of spirits, but it's
often rare.
and i also believe that anything that agents of evil want to do,
is within the boundaries of what God allows them to do.
