There must be a minimum spending per month for you all who are
in a relationship. Don't tell me you all don't go out makan, drink,
enjoy a bit, watch movie and etc.. All these require spendings. And
the guy has to pay for the gal. So all spendings will be multiple
by two. If you too indoor, the gal who get bored with you and leave
you. The gal may go to look for someone who can give her happiness.
(Money = happiness .. no?)
of course eatin and entertainment stuffs require $$$ , but there
isnt a FIXED AMOUNT. Depends how your lifestyle is like. You cant
make a gauge just like that.... Are you the kopitiam or hotel
restaurant type? and like bryan have said, is your girl the prata
or prada type
and a guy doesnt have to pay every shyt for the girl, you can go
dutch.... BUT if you insist then so be it 
lastly, who tell you money = happiness??
You can use $$$ to buy the most expensive bag for her but you may
not get the girl
