It's no longer called Weekend Cars.
They are now Off-peak cars, or just OPC. If weekend cars, WC, not that nice la.

Yes, $20 per day, can be purchased from Singpost.

Don't ever try to cheat, fine $6000 - $10000.

Regards.

how they know if u hav cheated?

The coupon is displayed on your windscreen? Laughing

There have been cases where the coupon were tampered with and reused but the owners got caught.

And the TP has outsourced so many traffic wardens on the roads during peak hours, if they don't catch you, you can strike 4d twice a week.

u noe wat they call OPC cars? Laughing

wardens even book pedestrians... I should have slowed down to take a pic but I think I will be part of the party to be caught so I ran as fast as I could... Otherwise I also kena book for jay walking.... Mr. Green

cos they can only come out at nite. Laughing

Ponders SG

It's called Off-Peak Car to differentiate itself from their earlier Weekend Scheme car.

Because when they first introduced Weekend scheme, their basis of calculation have a major flaw. Turn out if you are rich and want to buy a 2nd luxurious car, you can register it as weekend car and still buy $20/day coupons everyday and still end up cheaper.

They discovered this flaw and corrected it to Off-Peak car. so the basis of calculation do take into account pricey cars.
