anyone noes which brand is offering the cheapest petrol wif member's card or which "credit card" company's card?

hee hee... currently i heard that its SPC offering 26%.

can any fellow forumite verify this?

Yes SPC is giving arounf 20 to 25%, depending on all ur add up like everydaycard, SPC card…...I got 24% today 12% for SPC card, 8% extra and 4% for exervyday card.

$3 off for every $40 petrol (do not pump more ok).
standard 11% off
+ credit card off (not sure)

shell
$3 off for every 25L petrol.
+ credit card off

wow seems like Shell is more worth… -$3 for every 25L… that means -$6 for 50L which is almost equivalent to a full tank… wow i learnt math!

straight away ask for $40 worth

the receipt wrote theres a $6 discount, apparentsly its 15% for esso dbs card

& another addtional $3 off

so i oni paid $31 for 23L of 95 petrol

thats like almost 25% off, haven include the smiles points gained yet Twisted Evil

Not really. If comparing Shell and Esso/Mobil, the latter is more promo. For $40 petrol is 23L of 95. Even better if you're going 98.

But I'm going Shell cos I dun hv the credit card esso favors. Lazy to apply another 1.

High price is used to discourage wastage. And there's big buffer (in term of tax) added to the price. This forms a buffer to price control.

If there's a oil crisis and crude oil price shoots up, those countries where petrol prices are low will be worst hit. I'm not from that "some political party", but I think they are doing a good job.

Petrol companies used to have price wars... but now petrol prices are so high that it's not wise to play with the discounts anymore...

Shell has got the world record for best mileage.... So now, there is one more thing to consider... go for the cheapest possible petrol brand and then pump more frequently, or go for a well established one with better fuel efficiency? Think about it...

Actually, when you people buy cars, you should have already given a high estimate for the amount of money you need to spend on petrol... So actually there's not much of an issue over here....

If you buy a car and then never really estimated how much u need for petrol... And now u start to panic over petrol prices, i think you deserve it... Go use vegetable oil lah....

The only people who are usually very very very concerned about petrol prices are not car owners.... they are kids who drive their father's or family's car and got to pump petrol themselves.... these people got to pay through their nose... tht is why they are so sensitive to petrol prices.... I think the threadstarter is one of them.... 19 years old? Just a guess... maybe i'm wrong....
