For me, I keep getting the "connection was reset" error on
almost evey other page, even when logging in. It's been like that
since I switched to singtel (6mb) from pacnet (512kb) in Sep 2007.
Had to use firefox to avoid re-entering info when refreshing. I got
used to that problem. 
Conneting directly to the modem produces the same results.
However, other places I go to don't seem to have this problem.
So how?
Mine completly cannot go into friendster at all. Sian
