Petrol pump prices down by around six cents per litre

Petrol pump prices went down by around six cents per litre on Tuesday, marking the first adjustment in four months.

The four oil companies - Shell, Caltex, ExxonMobil and the Singapore Petroleum Company - all reduced their petrol prices.

The oil companies say the adjustment reflects current market conditions.

SPC says its Premium 98 unleaded petrol now costs S$1.857 per litre, Premium 95 unleaded S$1.774 per litre, and Super 92 unleaded S$1.742 per litre.

Oil companies in Singapore last adjusted gasoline pump prices in late April when they raised the price of regular gasoline by around 10 cents a litre. - CNA/ir

SINGAPORE : The price of petrol has been cut.

Effective from Friday afternoon, SPC, Caltex and ExxonMobil have knocked off five cents a litre across all their petrol grades.

No it wont.... simply because buses use diesel... and the prices of diesel are not changed this time round....

I think it did too... just that it wasnt reported.... the petrol companies will always adjust their prices together.... It's an oligopoly market.... right?

Anyway, Shell has got the guiness record for best fuel economy! Cool! In times like this when oil prices are high, it's wise not to play price wars but to increase the quality and economy of the petrol! Wise move!

Well, indeed it did. As mentioned by freakass - this is an oligopoly industry in Singapore.

Let's just hope someone invent car that run on alternative fuels at a much reduced price Smile .

Agree from experience Shell does indeed really truthfully gives better mileage.
