Today ST news talk about a Pri school Boon Lay having halal foodspace zone that no one able to bring non halal food into school canteen, but later overturn as a mistake…

The school has 20% moslems,while one has no problems having all the foodstalls being halal but not able to bring non halal food in seems weird and unsingaporean, wonder what you guys think of this??

the reason why you're not allowed to bring non halal food to halal area is becoz they look into the opportunity of people to sabo them......

its the same as like wanting to bring food from kopitiam to banquet(vivo)

Muslim principal is a disgrace to the Ministry of Education:

He is trying to impose Islamic law in a multiracial school.

Frightening thing is none of the teachers brought this to the attention of MOE.....why?

It’s raising some concerns to the parents imagine if 80% moslem students, then the rule may not be overturn by MOE.But in a kopitiam near my flat only 1 halal stall out of several yet no problems…wonder why the principal of that school did not spare a thought of the rest of the students who are non-moslems?

actually i think there is no islamic law that states that you cannot eat beside people who is eating non halal food......

i dun think its islamic law that he is playing with here......its his own law that he is playing with.......

Hope that this is just an isolated incident here in SG, really think it’s worrisome if malay moslem principals here wants to impose the restrictions here like in malaysia schools.In the long run, it will affect integration process of all races if it went unchecked

The jews start their kosher food outlets in the States and do not impose their kosher laws upon non jews.But then again jewish are in a minority group..

That principal is crazy. What is he trying to do? Protect the minority? What happens when they leave this safety zone? How are they going to handle the world outside when they have gotten so used to everyone eating halal. The principal is trying to cause nation segregation here. If they do not learn how to be a citizen in a multiracial society, where else are they going to learn.

What I think will become of the school is sooner or later the whole school will be full of muslims... All muslims in that area will wan to enrol into that muslim school and after a few years, it becomes compulsory that every teacher and pupil in the school must chant sutra 3 times a day.

Obama the presidential hopeful is already being challenged for his moslem background by the press and public…it’s more about his religious imprint form his heritage than his race that going to make or break his trust with the americans.And americans are not stupid when it comes to voting for their future welfare

i think in situations like this some people may say that there will be lack in multiculturalism but in actuality the problem here is religion......

go remember there was a post in straits times during hari raya......the chinese nsmen who converted said that he will never forget his tradition.....i.e. celebrate chinese new year with his family etc.....

i wouldn't be surprised if countries like the usa are scared of this.....

Do you guys knows that somalia moslems in state of minnepolis in US working as cab drivers refused to take passengers with liquor?It’s already irking many americans especially the heartlanders who wants to know where’s the limit….

USA have chinatowns, little italy, and other ethnic enclaves by first generation immigrants but eventually most assimilated but moslems wanted their own sharia legal code and that makes them stand out from the rest…and it’s the younger generation in europe who’s going for the jihad theology
