I was travelling on TPE @ 118km/h yesterday towards SLE direction when I saw TP at side of the road, don't know what they were doing talking to each other, don't know if they set up speed cam or not...

will I get caught?
how much points and fine?

I heard they give 10km/h allowance.. so if its 20-30km/h over speed limit is 4 demerit points and $130 fine is it?

I read in the advance theory book..

The penalties for speeding are as follow:

* Exceeding speed limit for vehicle/road by 1 to 20km/h
o 4 demerit points
o Fine of $130/- for light vehicle and $160/- for heavy vehicle.
* Exceeding speed limit for vehicle/road by 21 to 30 km/h
o 6 demerit points
o Fine of $150/- for light vehicle and $180 for heavy vehicle.
* Exceeding speed limit for vehicle/road by 31 to 40 km/h
o 8 demerit points
o Fine of $170/- for light vehicle and $200/- for heavy vehicle.
* Exceeding speed limit for vehicle/road by 41 to 50 km/h
o 12 demerit points
o Offender will be prosecuted in Court.
* Exceeding speed limit for vehicle/road by 51 to 60 km/h
o 18 demerit points
o Offender will be prosecuted in Court.
* Exceeding speed limit for vehicle/road by more than 60 km/h
o 24 demerit points
o Offender will be prosecuted in Court.

That time I got a warning letter for driving at 80km/h on a road with speed limit of 70km/h.... but as you can see the difference, mine only exceeded by 10km/h and 80km/h isnt really fast.... i believe if they got you, then u're in for it....

Why do you want to go till so fast? Unless your car is a sports car or branded car, you should feel it when it goes over 110... you need to step on the accelerator quite a lot.... that means you know that you are going fast liao....

FYI, I hate people with small cars like vios, altis, sunny etc. going at super high speeds.... you know your car lah... it's not meant to go that fast...

i watched tokyo drift and in the shw, the guy sped pass the police at 192lm/h and said that the police won't bother to give chase for speeds more than 180mm/h. is this true?
