i was a cop in jurong division.

the way some people pooh poohed this story makes me realise how sheltered some sinkies are.

that unlucky chap probably met illegal immigrants. hard as nails, desperate people with nothing to lose. multiply the danger x10 if they're drunk. the sort of people regular cops call for ang chia backup (the whole frigging troop) when confronting. and this poor sod had to ask them for directions of all people.

there is a reason places like jalan bahtera are not well-known, even for hardcore paktor seekers, and its not for spooky reasons alone. that whole stretch is like harbourfront to illegals. ffs stay away! and no, there are no marine cops at the end there cept for the odd janitor maybe. the boats are all at sea.

According to a friend, power windows are a let down if the car falls into the river. They might not work. Because you have to crawl out of the windows if such a situation occurs.

Some people here are just ridiculous. Do not jump to your own conclusions, make up your own stories without first finding out the facts. If you had seen some of the injuries, which I did, you would probably know that some of them are not possible to be self-induced, nor is it possible to attain in a car crash. As some kinder folk here have pointed out, that area is a danger spot for everyone, and the only reason I am bothering to type all this out here is so that guys like you will be aware of it’s danger. Whether my friend’s injuries were a result of a crash or an attack, let’s leave that to the cops to ascertain. Fact is, LCK is a dangerous place and had this topic not been broached we’ll probably see many more fellowmen get into trouble at that spot.

So what if you are a cop ? that still does not exclude you from the basic law of logic . As a cop you should have been more open minded, what i am bring is another point of view, which does raise very valid points and questions.

Can you explain ! why there is so many loopholes to the story,
1) KJE is too far away from the accident area, common logic would have him turn the car around. You know how many km away he is away from KJE ?
2) How do you explain the burning of the car ? by just throwing a burning rag into it ? as a cop, you should know the basic law of combustion. You take a piece of normal cloth, even if can light it and throw inside a car - leather or PLC and plastic will not burn just like that ! Without something as to provide combustion, even as a police that does not allow you to ignore the basic of logic. Are you telling us that it is very common for illegal immirgants to be walking around with rags and fuels and ready at all times to burn cars ? If that the case, then cops must be not doing their jobs ! What I am saying is by common sense, is no one will be wasting their strength or dirty themselves to be carry fuel and rags around, also rags and fuels do not suddenly appear when you need them also. So don't you even find it fishly ?

I am not saying that place is not dangerous, but what we are raising the question is you did not tell us the whole true story. Because how he even get to a place so far from KJE is a mystery, and other things your mention.

as many ppl already highlightd, its too far from KJE!

sometimes i drive my gf in there just to show her ulu parts of spore and it took me close to 10mins to reach the area of 'accident' when driving slow..
i dun think that guy will be driving 100km/h if he is lost and trying to look for his way..

i believe that any normal person who venture into LCK 1st time esp late in the nite will have common sense to U turn and hit back epressway esp when lost..
(I thought in spore as long as u stay in expressway its hard to be lost??)..

i dun wanna say the story is made up but just wanna point to the many loopholes..

but anyway, LCK is really not a place to go at nite even when driving..

hello, i'm not here to decide whether its true or not.

Now as far as the truth is concerned, the guy may be really attacked, drunk, delusional, part of an insurance fraud, whatever. but its a story posted on an open forum, not a sworn statement. don't waste time looking for loopholes. but based on my knowledge, given the circumstances, the story is possible, that's all.

why i say possible? KJE to the spot... its not far, a matter of minutes driving.
exit jalan bahar and head all the way north. unless he says TPE

burning car? why not. 1001 ways to burn a car without fuel and rag. let alone with.

illegal immigrants with bad intentions in LCK. hell yeah.

My point is that area is a dangerous place, so kids, if you're not familiar, stay away.

Antics = drive down 8 kms from KJE , do not turn back even if you see cementry and lost. Then go ask 3 drunk guy for direction that is sitting in the middle of road .

Yep last time they did have HDB flats there, but in the end, HDB took back all the flats..... now the whole HDB area been fence up. It is now use given to military for practise of urban fighting.

Army is using now to do urban door to door fighting flat fighting.
