One (possible) method of 'breaking the ice':
Venture into the shop, looking worried as though you're looking for
an elusive item that don't seem to be on sale in the shop, but
you've seen it somewhere in a magazine.
Create a conversation abt how you've went to many places to search
for the item but sad that it can't be found there in the shop
either...etc.
*Hope that gives a reason to visit the shop again to see if the
item has been shipped to S'pore for sale.*
