I heard from some of my fren working in MI.
Due to MI give a first yr full insurance cover including 1 to 1
exchange for stolen or damage car(beyond repair). There are 2 cases
of abusing.
1 of the owner drove the TS into MY, report to My and SG police
says he was rob at gun point and the robbers drove off the car.
After he got the reports, he went to the Insurance company to
process the recovery.
But that owner damn suay, 5 days before collection of the
replacement car, MY police said they raided a workshop which was
named as the illegal shop and found his TS engine with the
registration number on it. On further interrogation, the MY guy
says that it was the owner who sold off his car to him at a price
of more than SGD$30,000.
The insurance company and MI immediately stop him and did not give
him a new car. In the end he was sued and he can't even get back
his old car. Confiscated as evidence and compounded.. lolz
