How about the rest who did not do well or failed? Why the newscasters not sensitive to the rest of the students?

there is a need because it's a kind of affirmation for their hard work as well as pride for themselves and their school. i'm sure if your child is the top student in singapore, you will want others to know that he/she has done you proud?

also for those normal stream students that scored 6-8A1s, they serve as motivation for other normal stream students to emulate. it's media?

they publicise results in japan and korea as well. once the results are out they put up everyone's name on the same list and put it outside the school for everyone to check. do you have any idea how big exams are in japan and korea?
