why they dun rerun the old SBC dramas at least it is better than the crap they are producing now

Parka SG

Saw the mediacorp advertisement on tv promoting their CD compilation of the old serial theme songs.

I'm so going to buy it.

Does anyone have a song list of the songs?
The ad only listed a few out of the 37.

Wah!

I saw the songs.

I expect them to be old. But I didn't expect them to be really really old.
I think they must be in the 1980s.

Darn. Have to watch for the 1990s compilation.

Kaczynski SG

Hmmm...do you have anything to say other than that? Rolling Eyes

Wow...I was inside my room when i heard the all familar music theme of the "Dao Re Ying Xiong Zhuan"... Shocked playing for the advertisement of the album...

It's time that TCS released this album...Wonder if "Mi Li Ye" series' soundtrack is inside...

Parka SG

Yup. I saw "Mi Li Ye" inside. Although I forgot how the song goes like, I still remember that it's a haunting tale.

sunny_day SG

yes yes... mi li ye's theme song is inside that cd... i love the theme song of wu xie ge tai Very Happy i watched that show for about 3 or 4 times le... Wink

Kaczynski SG

Wah...Reminds me of Xi Ban (the Opera troupe serial)...

Now that's one album worth buying as compared to other sub-standard Mediacock CDs...

Parka SG

I'm still waiting for them to release the songs from "Chi Zha Feng Yun".

The Lee Nan Xing show??

The songs starts with Mei yi ge xiao lian (every smiling face)"?

The one he starred with Ivy Lee and Lee died in his arms because of some terminal disease and he became a monk?

I remember!

"zai ze shi jie de ling yi ge jiao lou
shi fo hui you ling yi go wo.."

("Is there another me
In another part of the world"?)

Darn...these early day SBC serials were way more interesting than most of the shows we're having now..

Edit: Remember the story abt the killer butterfly? Or the story whereby the actor (who is now a producer by now) was given the chance to turn back time to change the events that happened?

Wonder why SBC/TCS/Mediacorp nv continued the series...

huiz SG

can tell me wats the butterfly story abt? i watched it b4 but i forgot it now. Laughing

i only remember the story whereby a middle-aged lady who loved gambling & had to lose all her money at a ghostly underground gambling den so tat she can save someone.

huiz SG

erm...i hav the theme song. its "Tie Shi Xin Chang" by Wu Qi Xian...

the ending song i hav but not sure if u r refering to the same one i hav.

Kaczynski SG

Remember Zhu Le Ling? She was the lead in this story..I can't remember much except for some tribal thingy whereby she was surrounded by the butterflies then she turned very old or something like that...

Also in another story, Sherry Tan aka Chen Xiu Huan (who made a comeback recent advertisements abt some slimming product) died a premature death and left his hubby (the same guy i mentioned earlier who wanted to turn back time to change events, also the guy who acted as the helicopter pilot in the SBC drama serial "Air Force" who took spy aerial shots and was court-martialled) heartbroken...she came back in the form of a spirit...This story even had a saxaphone theme on its own...

huiz SG

i remember the scene they showed when playing the theme song...some kind of wedding, then suddenly a group of butterflies attacked them. but forgot the storyline. i only remember this coz there was one time i stayed up in the wee hrs of the nite to watch the one of the story repeating. Laughing

Parka SG

I only remember the butterflies `cause there were like so many. hahaa.

Parka SG

Wow!!!

The ending song goes something like this.....

[i] Ze Mo Ye Xiang Bu Dao, Ni Hueh Xia Ze Mo Zhong De Shou
Ze Mo Ye Xiang Bu Dao, Wo De Xiao Rong Hueh Ge Ni Dai Lai You Chou.....[/1]
